His early career was marked by esteemed collaborations. He now conducts some of Quebec&#8217;s leading musical organizations.<\/p>\n<p>In opera, he has already collaborated on numerous productions. In 2022 and 2023, he directed two premieres: Christian Thomas&#8217;s Messe solennelle pour une pleine lune d&#8217;\u00e9t\u00e9, based on the play by Quebec author Michel Tremblay, and Yourcenar &#8211; Une \u00eele de passions by composer \u00c9ric Champagne, co-productions of the Festival d&#8217;op\u00e9ra de Qu\u00e9bec, Op\u00e9ra de Montr\u00e9al and Les Violons du Roy. He has also taken part as assistant conductor in productions of Verdi&#8217;s Il Trovatore and Puccini&#8217;s Madame Butterfly at the Op\u00e9ra de Montr\u00e9al, Wagner&#8217;s The Flying Dutchman at the Festival d&#8217;op\u00e9ra de Qu\u00e9bec and Bizet&#8217;s Carmen at the Bonn Theater in Germany.<\/p>\n<p>In symphonic concerts, Thomas has conducted major Qu\u00e9bec and Canadian orchestras such as Les Violons du Roy, and the symphony orchestras of Montr\u00e9al, Qu\u00e9bec, l&#8217;Agora, Saguenay, Sherbrooke, l&#8217;Estuaire, Hamilton and Kitchener-Waterloo. He has also conducted the Prague National Theatre Orchestra in the Czech Republic. In popular concert, he conducted Alexandra Str\u00e9liski&#8217;s very first symphonic concert with the Orchestre symphonique de Montr\u00e9al as part of the Montreal Jazz Festival broadcast on Radio-Canada television.<\/p>\n<p>The 2023-2024 season will see the continuation of significant collaborations with the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony, Orchestre symphonique de Montr\u00e9al and Les Violons du Roy. Thomas will also make his debut as guest conductor with the Orchestre symphonique de Laval and the Orchestre M\u00e9tropolitain. He will also conduct the Harmonium Symphonique show in Saguenay and Gatineau.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas Le Duc-Moreau is artistic director, conductor and co-founder of Ensemble Volte, with whom he collaborates with inspiring artists of his generation. Recently, Volte made its very first recording with the PlayShed theater company for a new production of Prokofiev&#8217;s Peter and the Wolf. Thomas graduated from the Conservatoire de musique de Montr\u00e9al in cello with Carole Sirois and in conducting with Jacques Lacombe.
